In a new and exciting collaboration, two iconic brands—luxury American fashion brand Michael Kors and luxe Italian sportswear brand ellesse—come together to celebrate the athletic styles of the ‘70s. A 360-degree digital campaign featuring model/actress Emily Ratajkowski and Brooklyn-based rapper Jay Critch brings the designs to life.
Evoking the bold attitude, confidence and eternal cool of vintage lifestyle looks, the 24-piece capsule collection is emblazoned with a one-of-a-kind insignia that fuses the Michael Kors charm logo with ellesse's tennis-and-ski-inspired one.
The signature color palette of ellesse's fiery oranges and reds is juxtaposed with classic shades of navy blue and crisp white in new playful patterns. The bold track jackets and pants, vintage-style swimsuits, chunky sneakers, logo slides, and neon bucket hats celebrate a modern take on classic styles. Kors’ must-have Hudson backpack and Bradshaw shoulder bag are reimagined to offer the perfect finishing touches.
Captured in the heart of vibrant, sun-soaked Miami by fashion photographer Lachlan Bailey, the campaign celebrates the cool, confident, and energetic DNA of the Michael Kors and ellesse brands. Model/actress Emily Ratajkowski and rapper Jay Critch—whose beats provide the background track for the video—are accompanied by a global cast: It-models Lexi Boling, Herzen Clerge, Lucas Ucedo, rising musician Wolftyla, and top Japanese internet sensation Kemio, all styled by Mel Ottenberg, editor-in-chief of cult pop magazine Interview.
